The white sand and white small pebbles, give a dazzling emerald green color to the crystal waters of this beautiful, exotic, beach! Saliara (also called Marble beach, because of its sand) is a small lush green bay –totally remote up to a few years ago. Now, you will find there a beach bar, as well as umbrellas and beach chairs to rent. Since the beach is quite small, expect to find it packed with people if you go there in August or on a weekend, despite the fact that access to Saliara is not very easy. Access: By car: Saliara is located at the northeastern shore of Thassos island, south of the beach Makryammos. When you get to the entrance to Makryammos beach (it’s the entrance of a hotel – don’t enter), turn to the track road that starts from there. Follow the truck road (drive cautiously) and after about 20 minutes you will get to the beach.
Glifada beach is a small beautiful beach which has shallow clean waters. It is quiet and is suitable for relaxing and peaceful moments. Very nice for swim and sunbathing!
Nisteri Beach is one of the beaches of Limenas and is located just at 1 kilometer distance of the capital of Thassos. It is a sandy beach surrounded by forested mountains. Nisteri Beach is an organised beach with sun beds and umbrellas. Its waters are shallow and children can play with safety. It is a beach perfect for sunbathing and swim!
Agios Ioannis beach is located 2 km far from Aliki, heading towards Limenas. It is a quiet beach which has clean water and sand. You can relax swimming there, and sunbath at the beach. There are ancient remains of altars in that location thus a visit to Agios Ioannis beach worth your time.
Thimonia a beach in a beautiful bay with crystal waters 1.5 km after the Salt Lake. Here you will enjoy tranquility in your bathroom and fishing. In Thimonia, is a monument dating from the Archaic period, a circular tower with a diameter of 15 m.
Livadi Beach is situated in the east of the island of Thassos at a 20 kilometer distance of the capital Limenas, close to Aliki. It is a quiet beach that is popular with backpackers and campers. The beach consists of sand and small pebbles. The beach is right next to the Monastery of Michail Archangel.
Salonikios in one of the most isolated beaches, because it is far from other ones, and far from the main road. We suggest you drive there. It is located outside of Astris. It is a peaceful area with pine trees and amazing waters. You will definitely enjoy you swim of sunbathing there.
Also well-known is the beach of Astris! It may have the size of a small creek, but it is so picturesque that will definitely captivate you. Just opposite you can see the island of Virgin Mary, while the fishing enthusiasts will enjoy their hobby among the rocky coasts that are full of fish!
Further down, next to Potos, Pefkari, is waiting patiently. A beach, large in size, with vegetation that smells like Pine (Pefko) (hence the name), and various activities for extreme people and not only. Here you can find various tavernas and cafe bars as well.
