The Museum of Polygnotos Vagis is located in Potamia and is housed in the old primary school of the village.This Museum exhibits works of the internationally acclaimed Thassian sculptor Polygnotos Vagis, after whom, is named. Polygnotos Vagis (1894 – 1965) has been distinguished in the U.S. for his sculpture art and his works are displayed in many Museums in the U.S., the National Gallery, the Museum of Kavala and in private collections.
